About the Mission:

The family of Thomas P. Dauenhauer has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services.  Thomas, age 80, died on December 20, 2025 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on November 21, 1945, in Syracuse, NY, Thomas was a graduate of Nottingham High School.  He continued his education at SUNY Brockport and. following his graduation, began teaching for a short time before enlisting in the United States Navy Reserve. He was called to active duty during the Vietnam War, on 24 May 1968.  He served for almost 26 months in the CIC (Combat Information Center) field, with that time being spent on Foreign and/or Sea Service.  He was honorably discharged at the rank of LtJG (Lieutenant Junior Grade, O-2) on 17 July 1970, and completed his inactive reserve obligation on 24 October 1973.  For his service, he would have been awarded a National Defense Service Medal.

After his military service, Tom worked for the federal government as a Special Agent for the FBI, until his retirement in 2000. Tom was very proud of his career, loved his country and was a true patriot.
